"Murder at the Book and The Cook" an
original fictional murder mystery
Lou Jane is in town to judge a cook-off competition
for a TV show between some very famous chef/authors, including Martha Stewart,
Julia Child and Emeril, and at the final dress rehearsal one of cooks turns
up dead. Fortunately, Lou Jane's many years of contact with the underbelly
of Kansas City society has provided her many skills for ferreting out the
aspirations, motives and clues left by less-than-honorable people, so she
-- with her sidekick "Gainsy" [recently retired from U of PA,
newspaper editor and sleuth Karen Gaines] -- will solve this mystery, no
matter what.
The cast will include members of the University
of PA theater arts program.
The five-course dinner will feature a selection
of hors d'oeuvres, appetizer buffet, choice from five entrees and grand
dessert buffet. All excellent recipes are from Lou Jane's books, which
are based on the exploits of Heaven Lee and her Cafe Heaven.

Jane Temple.
